Why I started a blog?

I started this blog to record this journey, my family and soon another family will be going through together.  A little about myself, I've been married for almost four years to my wonderful husband, Joe. We have three beautiful children together. Our oldest, Trebor, will be five in August. Our middle, Elijah, will be three in July. And our youngest, Anastasia, will be two in July. We live in a small country town in Alabama. We also have two recuse dogs. Our family is our everything.

I've been trying to find a way to tell our family and friends that I'll soon be a Gestational Surrogate. Which means the pregnancy results from the transfer of an embryo created by in vitro fertilization (IVF), so the resulting child is genetically unrelated to the surrogate. I'm just helping a family carry their baby for them.

I've always waited to do this because I've seen first hand how infertility can hurt a family that wants nothing more than to be a parent. I can't even fathom what they go through on a daily base. Even if I just help one family, that would be enough. I have finished all my paperwork and now it's time for the waiting game. My family and I are so excited to start looking at intended parents.
